Tomato marmalade & goat cheese cream

Do you want to take everyday life to a new level? Festive tomato marmalade pairs deliciously with a grainy oatmeal button and soft goat cheese cream.

1 bag Väinämöinen´s oat buttons

Goat cheese cream

200 g of soft goat cheese (eg Président Petit Chèvres Doux)
200 g of unflavoured cream cheese
½ dl milk
½ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of black pepper from the mill

Tomato marmalade

4 (400 g) tomatoes (ripe)
1 ¾ dl (150 g) of marmalade sugar
juice of ½ a lemon
½ teaspoon ground vanilla
1 teaspoon hot pepper powder


  1. Quarter the tomatoes, remove the seeds and hard stem. Put the tomatoes in a saucepan and add the marmalade sugar, lemon juice and spices. Cook, covered with a lid, for 10 minutes to allow the liquids to concentrate and the sugar to melt. Continue cooking without the lid for 10 minutes. Add salt, puree thoroughly and allow to cool.
  2. Mix the goat cheese and cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Thin with milk and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Spoon goat cheese cream and tomato marmalade over the oat buttons just before serving. Garnish with fresh tomatoes and thyme if desired.
    Tip! You can prepare tomato marmalade the day before serving.
